The Mesmer is a wonderful example of this, where I can say now is not whether me a DMG meters in the choice of the class would have helped or not. When I first played the Mesmer was my personal feeling: This class simply causes no harm and I wish a DMG-meter to check my claim for myself.

The second time, again playing I found out that the Mesmer is not caused so much peril, thanks to the illusions and states but the opponent slowly sent to the afterlife.

So the question is: What would have told the DMG meter time? I'm right, and the Mesmer does no harm? Maybe. That the Mesmer but also many skills available to prolong his life and incredible support group? Surely not. Own sense deceives us so happy times, but also a DMG meters can lie to us, that is when it simply because of the programming not covered all the points that make the class playable.

A DMG meters is not useless
But I'm not saying that I find a DMG meter useless. On the contrary, I have worked out enough Skillungen that will do nothing but cause damage than a meter and there is of course not a bad thing to be able to really see whether the spec is worth it or not.

Justin's Five Favorites of 2012


Last year I was certain that 2011 would go down as 1 of the greatest years for gaming & 2012 would be difficult pressed to top it. Looking back across the year though, I speedily realised how several fantastic Guild Wars 2 gold games came out. While many of the familiar MMO trappings are present, the developers delivered them in new manners or with new mechanics that honestly alter nature of the world & your interactions with other players. It's a game that rewards players for working together even outside the traditional confines of a party. How many times have you been tracking down a quest only to see that some other person has started the boss fight already? In Guild Wars 2 there is nothing stopping you from jumping in to help and you will still get the experience, loot & quest credit that you on the whole would. The entire game is filled with these brilliant little changes and they all contributes to a setting that feels more like an actual living & breathing place.

And there you have it my 5 preferred games of 2012, you need to check them out, in truth you have to for the reason that not only is it Christmas nevertheless it's also my birthday so I get to make demands today. Pleased Holidays everybody.

Guild Wars 2: Improvements Fractals


Isaiah Cartwright (Izzy for short), explains in his latest statement that some changes will be made to Fractals by the end of January in order to remedy the problems found during disconnections in the dungeon.

But this is not the only novelty indeed functioning levels and prizes will also be reviewed and corrected.

All this is explained below by Izzy.

Hello everyone! My name is Isaiah Cartwright and I am lead designer on Guild Wars 2. I'd like to talk today about changes we make to fractals, especially reconnection and group levels.

At present, it is not possible to join his band when we were disconnected inside the dungeon, which causes many problems for both the offline gw2 gold player for his companions. Our new system allows all players to instantly find their group in the dungeon. We understand the frustration that this problem may cause and we would like to apologize for the delay in resolving it.

We also changed the operating level restrictions within groups. Currently, players are limited by the level of fractal lowest group, which serves those whose level is low fractal. We changed the restrictions group levels to solve this problem. At the time of the creation of the group, players can select any level fractal, within the limit of the highest level reached by a group member. Once the fractal is complete, all players at or below the selected level get a level of additional fractal.

All higher level players earn karma, but retains the same level of fractal. The awards in fractal depend on the level of reward for each Guild Wars 2 gold player, to the extent that its level is not higher than the fractal chosen. Example:

Player 1 (fractal level 2)
Player 2 (level of fractal 21)
Player 3 (level of fractal 21)
Player 4 (fractal level 21)
Player 5 (fractal level 53)
Player 2 creates the group and defines a fractal level 21. The group then comes to after 3 fractals. They get fractal levels following:
Player 1 (fractal level 3)
Player 2 (level of fractal 22)
Player 3 (level of fractal 22)
Player 4 (fractal level 22)
Player 5 (always fractal level 53, but gaining karma for assistance)
The goal is to allow everyone to play together and soften the training system groups. We plan to implement these two features at the end of January.

MindSnacks Moves To iPad, With More Educational Games


MindSnacks, an educational app company with five million iPhone app downloads, is launching iPad apps & a number of new games.

MindSnacks already has 14 apps for understanding subjects such as Spanish, Italian, German, French, Portuguese, Mandarin and SAT Vocab. The company focuses on making games which are educational yet also fun for people. They also are personalized to help people study certain skill-sets at their own pace.

While the well known apps used to be all iPhone, they are now iPad supported. This will not only make it accessible to men and women on the iPad it will also make achievable more types of games & game play. The company is also adding six new games to teach points like conversation, sentence construction & grammar. MindSnacks is also adding skill tracking. This will make it attainable for folks to track their improvements and capabilities across distinct apps.
The company also plans to soon broaden into other subjects like Geography and Math. The users are split about 50% between those under 18 and over 18.

MindSnacks cofounder and CEO Jesse Pickard, who was named to FORBES 30 Below 30 list, desires to make studying languages & other subjects fun. Games are the proper way to do this, he says, however the games must be extremely well developed. "With lots of educational games it is incredibly dry or it separates the educational piece from the fun piece. So you answer a countless choice question and then you get a fun prize. That's not the way. It is got to have everything blended together."

I've been playing with the Mandarin app, which is fun, though I can not say I'm at kindergarden level yet.

Founded in 2010 and backed by Sequoia Capital, DreamIt Ventures, 500 Startups and Felicis Ventures, MindSnacks has a team of 25 people who build both the educational curriculum and the gaming. The apps are all gratis-to-play, in spite of this have a one-time $5 fee after you reach a particular level in the game. The company does not have micro-transactions, Pickard says due to the fact he thinks there shouldn't be "hidden purchases." There is 40 hours of understanding on each app.

Guild Wars 2 Announces Season Event "winter"


NCSoft and ArenaNet are planning the third seasonal event. "Winter Day" is from 14 December to 03 Last January and offer a variety of additional activities and mini-games. Participation in the event is free. Already in the previous Guild Wars players, numerous events were offered.

'Guild Wars 2′: A Solid MMO In Search Of An End Game


It's tough to dislike Guild Wars 2. The game has remarkable graphics, strong characters, & probably the smoothest and most enjoyable leveling experience ever observed in an MMO. The crafting is fun & advantageous, the economy is working as intended, and even the item retailer works well without unbalancing the game.

When I first began playing Guild Wars two, after the original hiccups triggered by millions of impatient gamers all trying to log in at the same time, I was honestly stoked. Character creation was incredibly well executed and the distinctive races were all cautiously created. Each of the distinctive classes had something unique to offer, & every race and class had a especially original story driven quest. Only Star Wars: The Old Republic can hold a candle to buy Guild Wars 2 gold for exceptional leveling, though it has been a important failure for BioWare in every other way.

From the moment I began to play Guild Wars 2, I enjoyed every minute. I identified each zone I discovered on my leveling journey to be wonderfully designed with exotic landscapes and climate effects that added to the atmosphere of the game. The story for my character took me deep into the history and legend of my race and world.

Best of all, leveling was never grindy or boring, & it was smooth sailing from start to finish. I specifically enjoyed the mad zerg that became accessible for the last couple of levels. I had so much fun running around like a lunatic with 100 or more other crazy players that I hardly even recognized when I hit the level cap. I even got quite a few amazing loot & made serious bank while I was at it.

The I hit level 80 and everything transformed. Now it was time to raid, & I speedily discovered that raiding in Guild Wars two was an after thought. Don't get me misguided. In case you delight in PvP and that is all you need from a game, you will completely love Guild Wars 2.

But in the event you appreciate a mix of PvP and PvE or you just need to raid, you will find out rather quickly that the instances in Guild Wars two are rather confined along with a bit dull, and, as much as I hate to convey it, I really disliked the mechanics of some of the boss fights. A number of bosses were subsequent to impossible since the game is without any real healing class and you had to do repeated corpse runs to get back into the fight.

Personally, I am not fond of death runs, & I intensely dislike any boss fight that enables you to use economical tricks to beat a boss even if they're legal. I have usually felt boss fights need to depend on player skill and attentive study of the fight's mechanics.

All in all, Guild Wars 2 has exceptional potential. It would be a shame to see the game turn out to be a favorite for individuals that like PvP, while it's passed over by those of us who appreciate PvE and raiding. It's always discouraging when 90% of my guild mates quit a game after telling me they are bored with the lack of challenging dungeons and raids.

I hope someone at ArenaNet is paying attention & we will see a genuine effort to bring PvE and raiding up to the quality of the PvP. If they do, Guild Wars 2 will be a major success on all levels. Players are tiring rapid of mediocre games and MMOS that have already been around forever. Guild Wars 2 is so close to being a exceptional gw2 gold game and with a lot of serious effort, it can still be a world beater.

New Guild Wars 2 happenings revealed

Based on a report from VG24/7 today, "Guild Wars 2" developer ArenaNet will debut a new event between Dec. 14th to Jan. 3rd called "Wintersday."

"While each race celebrates 'Wintersday' in their own unique way, kids all over Tyria share a common love of one thing: toys.

"This year the city of Lion's Arch will host the asuran Toymaker Tixx as their special Wintersday guest of honor.

"Before Tixx arrives in Lion's Arch in his huge airship toy workshop, he'll visit every major city in Tyria to deliver 'Wintersday' toys & holiday cheer," the statement stated.

This is a positive sign for "Guild Wars two" players for the reason that it was only one or two days ago when gamers heard the support team from NCsoft would be diminishing.

"NCsoft is realigning internal publishing resources to better suit the requirements of our gw2 gold game development studios.

"As a result of the realignment, a number of workers & contract positions were affected. This was an extremely difficult decision to make and wish the best for all NCsoft employees in their next ventures," Davis, public relations director, mentioned.

Guild Wars 2: two big free extensions for this winter?
